As a way of natural gas utilization, LNG is more and more used in various fields. Its superior physical and chemical characteristics make its advantages in similar products more and more obvious, and become one of the mainstream forms of natural gas utilization.
On March 7, the engineering and Construction Department of the liquid air group signed a memorandum of cooperation with Atlantic, Gulf and Pacific Ag & P company to develop small-scale liquefied natural gas filtration equipment in Asia, which is an infrastructure solution integrator in the LNG supply chain. Combined with their respective advantages, Air Liquide Group and Ag & P will provide unique, fully integrated and cost optimized solutions for LNG distribution, focusing on liquefaction, filtration, transportation and downstream infrastructure, and seeking industrial applications such as LNG power supply and ground transportation from end users.
According to the memorandum of cooperation, Ag & P will build technologically advanced modules that can be inserted into any part of the LNG supply chain, using the expertise of the group in LNG infrastructure modules, and start to develop standardized downstream LNG modules to optimize costs and shorten delivery time. This will provide end users with faster, more cost competitive solutions to maximize project value. The Mou also includes an innovative evaporative gas (bog) management system that saves investment in bog compressors while ensuring no gas emissions or combustion, bringing environmental and economic benefits to customers.
LNG demand continues to grow as countries try to replace oil and heavy fuel oil with liquefied natural gas as cleaner and cheaper fuels for power generation, shipping, ground transportation and industrial use. However, growth remains slow due to a lack of infrastructure and investment to provide reliable and sustainable supplies. Most parts of Asia need large-scale development assets to disperse natural gas from the source to the demand center and in a wide geographical area. It is estimated that in the next ten years, $70-80 billion of natural gas infrastructure needs to be invested. Through this memorandum of cooperation, Ag & P and the liquid air group will take the lead in developing this much-needed LNG infrastructure.
The milestone agreement with Air Liquide Group will enable the downstream LNG infrastructure, including small-scale regasification terminals, distribution centers, truck loading stations and evaporative gas processing systems, to become the LNG supply network of Ag & P for the rapid delivery of charged gas to customers in the last mile. Our goal is to simplify LPG's expertise in gas processing technology and patents through Ag & P's experience in design, engineering and construction to bring the most competitive solutions to Asian customers. We offer unique products for onshore and offshore applications.
"We chose Ag & P as our partner because of their reputation for innovation, safety record and fast delivery," said Vice President of engineering and construction, Air Liquide. Through this agreement, we will be able to meet the dynamic requirements of customers in Asia and effectively deliver LNG to end users scattered in a wide area. "
